About Caroline
Warmth, curiosity, and a genuine love of helping people grow.
Background
I'm a qualified Humanistic Counsellor, having trained at the University of Chichester. I have always had a genuine curiosity about people and what shapes us. At the heart of my work is a simple aim: to help you move forward in your life and gently explore any issues or past experiences that may be holding you back.
An Integrative Approach
I work in an integrative way, which means I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We're all unique, and we all respond differently, so I adapt how we work together to suit you, your needs, and your pace.
Ongoing Learning
I've always been drawn to social psychology and remain endlessly fascinated by human behaviour, how we relate to ourselves, how we connect with others, and the patterns we carry with us, often without realising where they began. Alongside my counselling work, I continue to develop my learning and currently have a strong interest in Transactional Analysis, a model that explores how our interactions and limiting behaviour patterns can form unconsciously in childhood. This approach resonated deeply with me on my own journey, and I've seen how powerful it can be in helping others gain insight, choice, and self-compassion.
Creativity and the Whole Person
Creativity has always been an important part of my life. Over the years I've studied painting, ceramics, and sculpture, and I value the role that creative expression can play in emotional processing. I also work holistically, with an interest in how trauma can be held in the body. Where appropriate, I may incorporate elements such as somatic awareness, gentle movement, breathing techniques, or creative interventions, supporting connection to the emotional, right side of the brain.
Outside the Therapy Room
Outside the therapy room, I'm very much at home outdoors. My other work involves designing and creating gardens, which reflects my love of nature, growth, and working with living systems. I'm also a big animal lover and feel particularly passionate about helping rescue dogs.
I aim to offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you feel safe to be yourself, whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, curious about patterns in your life, or simply looking for a place to reflect and be heard.

"It is the relationship that heals."
