Together, we can create meaningful change
Creative Counselling means being open to different ways of exploring thoughts and emotions when
and if it feels helpful. This might occasionally include reflective exercises, visual tools or simple
creative approaches.
No artistic talent required!
Hi, my name is Caroline. I work with adults struggling with:
…to name but a few.
Many people come to counselling silently carrying worries, stress or overwhelming thoughts, struggling to move on from past events or trauma, or simply knowing they want something to change. Creative counselling means being open to different ways of exploring your thoughts and feelings when it feels right, whether that is talking things through, using reflective exercises or simple creative approaches.
I work intuitively and adapt every session to your needs and pace. There is no expectation to be artistic; the most important part of counselling is the relationship and feeling safe enough to be yourself. Sessions can take place online, in person, or walking side-by-side in nature.
If you are considering counselling, you are very welcome to get in touch for a free 20-minute initial chat to see if working together feels right for you.

Are you aware and in control of your emotions?
Do certain situations trigger you in ways you don't understand?
Do you feel truly heard and understood in your life?
Do you have unwanted behaviour patterns or situations that seem to repeat?
Are you struggling with any form of anxiety, social, generalised, or otherwise?
Do you often feel you are too much, or not enough?
I aim to help you make sense of these experiences so that you can begin to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Choose the setting that feels right for you. All sessions are confidential, 50 minutes, and begin with a free initial consultation.

Personal Experiences
"Caroline has helped me understand my patterns of behaviour in a caring, considerate and compassionate way. She taught me how to be kind to myself and I now find it easier to stay grounded and in control of my feelings…"
"What if exploring your feelings didn't always have to start with words?"
Alongside talking therapy, I sometimes invite clients to explore creative ways of expressing themselves, drawing, painting or working with clay.

Yes, I do. I offer a free, informal initial chat so you can ask questions, see how it feels to talk with me, and decide whether working together feels right for you. Many people find it easier to take that first step knowing there is no commitment involved.
Online sessions offer flexibility and are open to anyone across the UK, all you need is a good internet connection and a quiet, private space. In-person sessions, held in Henfield or Steyning in West Sussex, allow for a different quality of connection and also make it possible to incorporate creative work using art materials if that feels right. Walk and talk sessions take place outdoors near Brighton and Hove. All three offer the same confidential, non-judgemental space. It is simply a matter of finding what suits you best.
Counselling is not only for times of crisis. If something in your life doesn't feel quite right, whether that is anxiety, a sense of being stuck, relationship difficulties, grief, or simply wanting to understand yourself and your patterns a little better, it is worth having a conversation. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out. Part of the process is gently exploring what is going on for you together.
There is no fixed answer, and I would never want to pressure you into a set number of sessions. Some people come with something specific they want to work through over a shorter period. Others find that as one thing settles, they want to continue exploring. I suggest regular reviews to ask you how things are going and look at our progress. You are free to stop at any point.
The first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other. You can share what has brought you to counselling, as much or as little as feels comfortable, and I will answer any questions you have about how I work. You do not need to prepare anything or have it all figured out. We take things at your pace, right from the start.
Taking the first step is often the hardest part. I offer a free, informal initial chat so you can ask questions, see how it feels to talk with me, and decide whether working together feels right, with no pressure and no commitment required. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.
